When I received this gift from Eric and Liz Stohlberg back in June, my husband, Rob, who is a sometimes collector of antiques, was Big-Eyed, saying ".. you can't paint THAT!!"...then he Took me to School about the history of the Showers Brothers in Bloomington, which I kinda knew about, but apparently, didn't know the half of it! Fortunately for my intentions, there was a little staining of some of the fine veneer on the sides from moisture damage, which I did my best to restore, but oh well, it just wouldn't come out...
